Payment and cancellation policies

Payment policy

Payment for the full amount of the registration fee must be made prior to the conference. An electronic confirmation will be sent to confirm receipt of payment.

Residents/Medical Students

Payment for the full amount of the registration fee and receipt of the letter from your program director or chairman of department to confirm your registrant category are required to complete the registration.

Royal College Resident Affiliates may provide their membership number as confirmation of registrant category.

Cancellation policy

Requests for cancellations or substitutions must be submitted in writing to the Conference Secretariat at icre@royalcollege.ca by September 3, 2024.

Cancellation requests received in writing by September 3, 2024, are eligible for a refund of 75 percent of the paid registration fee. There will be no refunds after this date, though substitution within the same category is permitted. Refunds requested after September 3, 2024, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be processed after the conference.

Please be advised that individuals registering for the International Conference on Residency Education, who find themselves unable to attend the conference in person after the cancellation date, will be converted to the virtual attendee fee and granted access to the virtual platform.

Force Majeure

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada shall have no liability whatsoever if any of our events or programs are delayed, changed, or cancelled at any time due to strikes, lockouts, accidents, fires, floods, severe weather, acts of God, healthcare crisis, epidemics and pandemics as a result of viral or bacterial illnesses, forced shut-downs, emergencies, war, riots, terrorist attacks, any actions constituting a “force majeure,” or any other causes or delays beyond the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada’s reasonable control, whether similar to or different from the causes listed above.
